Our dealership's rich history goes all the way back to 1919, and we're proud to continue the legacy of our founder, "Big Chuck" Hutton. Chuck started his first Dodge dealership in Sioux Falls, SD, which was so successful that Walter Chrysler took notice. Chuck's next step was to open Chuck Hutton Dodge in Memphis, TN, in 1939. This new dealership also proved successful, becoming the first to sell over 50,000 Dodge vehicles in the United States.

Chuck's son, Tom, eventually switched to Chevrolet, and Chuck Hutton Chevrolet was born in 1972. In 1995, Tom's son, Henry, became president of Chuck Hutton Chevrolet. We eventually expanded to the Toyota brand, and Chuck Hutton Toyota opened in the spring of 2009. July 2020 was an eventful month for us, when our General Manager, Young Kim, bought the dealership from the Hutton family, ensuring our growth and commitment to remaining the only locally owned Toyota dealer in Memphis, TN. With more than 100 years of experience in the automotive industry, we're honored to continue serving Memphis and the surrounding communities.
