Ever since I founded Absolute Moving Services, I knew that I wanted to give back. In the beginning, I wasn't sure how I would give back. But I knew we would figure it out. Once my business was up and running a couple years, I was contacted by a kind-hearted and passionate young lady named Brittany Spence, who ran a local non-profit called the Forrest Spence Fund. She was looking for movers to help her during the year with the various moving needs of her non-profit organization. Whether it be delivering tables, chairs, and decor for the silent auctions, or moving office furniture, or delivering Christmas presents to the children at Lebonheur at Christmas time. I knew in that moment that this was the calling I had been waiting for. I was so excited about this opportunity I don't think I even let her finish with her pitch before I said "Absolutely!" I was all in!
This business decision turned out to be one of the best I have made. Keep in mind that we have moved hundreds and hundreds of clients in and out of the Mid South. We have been in some of the fanciest and largest homes you can imagine. We have served some of the most amazing and unique people we have ever met. We have been coast to coast serving our valued clients. But nothing can compare to being able to partner up with an organization whose mission is to help and serve the precious hospitalized children and their families in our community. No amount of money or financial profit can hold a candle to being able to give back in this way. Out of everything we do in our partnership with the Forrest Spence Fund, my absolute favorite is the annual Christmas gift delivery. I can't even begin to describe the joy that comes from seeing the smiles on the children's faces when we show up with a truckload of Christmas presents at Lebonheur Children's Hospital.
