Memphians TeamUp to Feed those in Need

Memphis - April 9, 2020 - Refuge Memphis and Empathy Café teamed up together with help of Merge Memphis to get meals to families.

The organizations are hosting a curbside pick up meals event April 10th for the residents of Raleigh on Friday from 11 o’clock till 2 o’clock at 3385 Austin Peay Hwy.

Chef Jeremiah, Owner of Empathy Café, says, “The reason why we are doing this is because people are in need. And we have the volunteers in the capability of helping people out.”

All locals are invited, just drive up.  You will be asked to provide your name, address, email address, and number of members in your household that is receiving a meal.

About Refuge Memphis

Founded in 2012, Refuge Memphis is a 501(c)3 charity who has worked diligently to meet the need, develop a solution.

Its programs and classes work in conjunction to serve as a form of C.P.R. for our clients.  They are Corrective, Preventative, and Reactionary in nature. All of which are designed to help break the cycles of generational poverty, crime, and social program dependence in Shelby County, TN.

Merge Memphis is a nonprofit organization that was founded by Sherry and Keith McClure.

We have a strong passion and are led to help those less fortunate. The Merge Memphis team consists of dozens of volunteers serving in different areas but sharing that same passion. Our goal is to feed the hungry, find homes for the homeless, and clothe those who need clothing.
