Nashville recording artist Blane Howard and his fans are taking on country music digitally with total streams rapidly expanding beyond 70 MILLION and video views on social media surpassing 12 MILLION. Most of those numbers rolling in are from his hit single “Promise To Love Her,” which spent 17 consecutive weeks on CMT Music’s 12 Pack Countdown show and continues to rack up close to half a MILLION streams per week! Those stats are quite impressive for an independent artist. This Arkansas native, named the Arkansas CMA Male Vocalist of the Year in both 2018 and 2019, embraces his unique style of country, modern traditional, mixing the authenticity of the 90’s with the contemporary edge of today! His relatable lyrics, powerful vocals, and entertaining shows are winning him fans around the world.
Howard is a collaborative singer-songwriter known for his undeniable baritone vocals. He grew up with a love of multiple genres of music, and at shows, he often surprises his fans by covering masterworks from greats including Johnny Cash, Elton John, Marvin Gaye, and Van Morrison. He has written with some exceptional writers in the last few years including Rick Huckaby (Beer With Jesus/Thomas Rhett; Muddy Water/Trace Adkins), Doug Johnson (Three Wooden Crosses/Randy Travis; Love Like Crazy/Lee Brice), and Jordan Reynolds (Tequila, Speechless, All To Myself, 10,000 Hours; ACM Song of the Year/CMA and Grammy Nominated), who penned “Promise To Love Her” with Howard. His long-time producer is Brad Hill (Grammy, CMA, & ACM Nominated/Maren Morris-Hero, Brother’s Osborne).
With a new music project in the works and plans for its release in May of 2020, COVID-19 delayed the process, however, Howard felt the need to release one of the completed tracks. Titled appropriately for the times, “Keep Me Busy” hit all music outlets on April 24th. A music video for the next single in line for release, “Rock On Her Window,” co-written with Johnson, is expected to be ready by the end of the year.
